Everingham & Watson are making Australiana cool again. It’s less about the Ugg Boots, Driza-Bone coats, cork sunhats and Arnott’s biscuits and more about cute, functional accessories, kitchenware and gifts.

From pineapple print tea towels and blackboards cut out in the shape of Queensland, to potato sacks crafted into stylish bags and hurricane lamps in eye-catching colours, Everingham & Watson make it easy to be patriotic and tasteful at the same time – no gumnut earrings and cork sun hats here.

Created by friends Susie Everingham and Liz Watson, Everingham & Watson are delivering customers products with a modern Australian aesthetic from their eponymous online store.

Their creations fall under a number of different categories (home & kichen, gifts/body, children, accessories, stationery, lighting & furniture), and it’s hard not to pop things into your shopping cart as you trawl through ceramics for the kitchen, bright timber bead necklaces and chunky chiselled earrings, a quoits set and an array of Leif body balms and hankies available in blue and red polka dots.

In addition to the products sourced from a number of local brands, the pair has established their own line of Everingham & Watson originals, which include Australia map and pineapple blackboards, selected items of jewellery, stationery and hand screen-printed linen tea towels.

With backgrounds in visual arts and graphic and interior design between them, Everingham and Watson have put their creative energies into a collection of useful objects that are nostalgic, without the cringe factor.
