Features
Bar No. 5 lives up to the term “local spot” – it’s a converted warehouse in a quiet pocket of Alexandria among urban residential developments. The exterior can be deceptive. Until you hear the music or conversation, you might not even realise anything is here.
Inside you’ll find well-executed cocktails, live music and tables with designated dog spots. The light-filled space is fitted with a giant metal bar bench, acting as a workspace for making experimental cocktails featuring native flora, foraged garnishes and traditional bar waste products such as lemon and lime skin.
The bistro loosely revolves around Australian cuisine – the menu is filled with influences from around the world.
