A stay at Crane Lodge sits somewhere between a luxury hotel and a classic holiday home. Not your average Airbnb, the property is equipped with all the amenities you could need – both inside and out.

Accessible via an inclinator (or a winding garden path), the house offers sweeping views over Palm Beach and the shimmering coastline. It sleeps up to 15 people across five rooms, including a self-contained studio that’s slightly removed from the rest of the house.

There is a modern Moroccan-meets-Scandi cool vibe to the interiors. Texture is key to the styling. Peachy hues, stone finishes and wool rugs merge with ash wood and an immense terrazzo benchtop.

The chef’s kitchen lives up to its name: two large ovens and a stovetop with both gas and electric elements; a generous wine fridge; essentials in the pantry and a barbeque with an outdoor work bench are primed for catering for a large crew. The concierge at Wild Luxury can even arrange for a private chef during your stay to really make the most of the amenities.

Multiple indoor and outdoor living spaces offer ample room to relax. Three fireplaces and a firepit, as well as the heated magnesium swimming pool and cedar hot tub, make this house just as perfect for a midyear stay as for summer weekends spent basking in the heat. The master suite includes a deep-soaking tub on the enclosed verandah – furthering the indoor-outdoor appeal of the property.

You’ll find plenty of board games in the cupboards, lifestyle books lining the shelves and a TV with access to free-to-air and streaming services. There are kayaks you can borrow in the garage. And the owner’s speedboat is available for hire on Pittwater if you want to venture further afield. There is a yoga and meditation deck, plus the option to have a teacher attend the property.

Wild Luxury has a second property on stunning Berowra Waters, Calabash Bay Lodge.
