Features
Bar. Restaurant. Bottle shop. Meeting place. This ambitious “public house” inside a former printer encapsulates all of the above and more. Named after the old Danish word for flavour (and more than two years in the making), Besk is all about showcasing boutique, primarily West Australian producers.
Whether you’re here for a laid-back lunch or a refined dinner, comfort dining is the name of the game. Think house-made gnocchi, upmarket cheeseburgers, fresh prawn rolls and other familiar items gleaned from the gastropub and wine bar playbook.
Education and making-ends-with-friends are also a big part of the Besk story, and the venue has a regular program of guest chefs and maker events.
On the bottle shop side, there’s an expansive inventory of boutique beer, wine and spirits that, similar to Wines of While, Lalla Rookh Wine Store and Petition Wine Bar & Merchant, are available to drink in-house or take away.
