A Belgian waffle slathered with crème anglais, peanut-butter gelato and torched marshmallows. This is what happens when gelato meets invention. Welcome to Whisk Creamery, where gelato makes the leap to gorgeous desserts.
Under the keen eye of owners and brothers, Simone and Davide Nelva, Whisk’s gelato treads the fine line between traditional and experimental. Instead of the usual batch-freezing method, the gelato is a soft serve.
Churned and frozen the moment the machine’s arm is pulled, the gelato is as fresh as it gets with a super smooth, creamy texture and bright flavour. Though there’s the usual selection of vanilla and coffee flavours, the adventurous will love the green tea, mandarin and black sesame gelati.
Changed up every two months, the sundae menu features in-house cronuts sandwiched with salted caramel gelato; choux buns filled with raspberry sorbet and rosewater mousse; plus choc-dip cones studded with mix-ins.
It’s all customisable, so you can mix and match your very own sugar-fuelled creation. For an impressive take-home dessert, don’t miss the miniature gelato cakes.
