Highgate Continental brings you an assortment of local and international treats of the musical, artistic and published variety.

Alex Malkovic and Andrew Sinclair, the previous owners of Good Company Records and art, literature and music store Apropos Provisional, joined forces with Nik Patterson and Perri Basile to bring you a curated collection of culture.

With up to 500 records in stock at one time, you can pick through a list of rarities of just about all genres. There’s everything from house music and reissued soundtracks to Afrobeat and jazz. Tasty albums from artists such as Ata Kak and Floating Points also line the shelves.

With crisp, fresh white walls and big open windows, you can settle into one of two listening stations and enjoy a complimentary filter coffee or water.

If you’re looking for something more visual, there’s a range of zines and hardcovers related to the fields of contemporary art, photography, design and architecture. Here you could find a hand-stapled zine of raw illustrations sitting next to a book published by the Architectural Association in London.
