Before opening The Tribute in 2017, owner Caleb Dalziell spent a year learning the tricks of the trade at Harrisdale’s Timber Cafe. Timber’s former head barista Caleb Gray now holds that same role at Tribute and works with coffee from Bibra Lake boutique roaster Grand Central. The cafe’s interior – somewhat reminiscent of Tiisch – was created by Fremantle studio Designlincd.
Middle Eastern influences dot the all-day menu: think Ottolenghi-inspired dishes such as pancakes with cardamom-infused apple and house-made sweet dukkah. Much of the cooking is gluten-free with dairy-free and vegan options also available.
