Menu - Mr Yum

Ramping up the mostly uninspiring category of bars-and-diners-in-shopping-centres, Dandelion brings woodfired cooking and house-distilled gin and vodka to Karrinyup, in a stylish space that’s big enough for 500 people to fit in comfortably.

Split across two levels, the venue is subdivided into different zones, all radiating the same laid-back vibe throughout. Enjoy sunlit afternoons on The West Deck, sunset views of the surrounding precinct and ocean from the top balcony, or take a seat kitchen-side at the chef’s table for close-up views of the kitchen team in full swing.

The cocktails here are a real drawcard. Made from house-distilled gin and vodka (housed in the 105-litre still at the venue’s entrance), they’re a creative collection of gently-tweaked classics like the Cucu Cabana (think of it as a Southside with cucumber). There are also plenty of wine options and a great selection of bottled and tap beers.

Rather than your typical pub fare, Dandelion is all about Asian-inspired dishes such as crisp roti served with whipped curry butter, spiced fried chicken with crunchy shallots and a chilli vinegar sauce, and sweet raw scallops with coins of zesty green apple. It’s the kind of food you want to tuck into while enjoying a few sundowners.
