So much is happening in Perth beyond its beaches and warm weather. In partnership with the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, here’s our guide to exploring your city with the excitement of a tourist and the knowledge of a local.
Perth never rests. While its main attractions remain reliable – the bustling azure beaches, arts festivals and thriving dining and bar scene – tracking the ebb and flow of each is a full-time affair.
But that also makes it ripe for re-exploration. Whether you’re an inquisitive regular to the inner-city or just looking for inspiration to have a local staycation, we highlight some of the most interesting new spots in and around our city.

World of Renovation
In the heart of Fremantle this converted showroom houses the latest across renovations and interiors in a display home that’s in a league of its own. Browse your way through the kitchen, bathroom and dressing room, all the way to the back courtyard, where you can mull over marble and tapware while sipping on an espresso from the in-house French bistro.
This former diesel warehouse houses a concept store and a cafe. It also runs Pilates classes and markets, sells goods by in-house makers and has become a go-to for indoor plants and planting advice. Pop in any day except Monday for a coffee and look-see, or book a workshop ahead of time. Topics covered include plants, ceramics, embroidery and painting.
