Features
Breweries and their spacious warehouse homes naturally lend themselves to families and large groups. But few in Perth do it as well as The Seasonal Brewing Co. The site has 300 seats spread between a main bar and umbrella-shaded beer garden – plus a dedicated kids’ play area. Dogs are also welcome.
There are 16 beers on tap, including a juicy pale ale, a red ale, an east coast IPA and a zingy passionfruit and guava gose. There are also up to four guest taps, which showcase other WA breweries. You can try them on a paddle or buy cans to take home.
Food plays a significant role here too. There are three menus to welcome everyone in: one for kids, one for omnivores, and another for vegans and vegetarians. Hot chicken sandwiches and juicy fish tacos are popular orders on the main menu. On its meat-free counterpart, expect hearty mains like crispy tofu with fermented chilli, kimchi salad and sesame; or the Buffalo cauliflower with pickled celery, ranch and blue cheese sauce. As at the pub, customers order at the counter and collect their own food at the kitchen.
Behind this convivial operation are locals Nicholas Southwell, Emily ten Raa and Michael Cheang (Frisk Small Bar, Alfred’s Pizzeria).
