Features
Who's Your Mumma takes cocktails way seriously. Inspired by pop culture (the Kevin Baconi is a negroni with bacon-infused bourbon) and local produce (burnt-fig-infused rum), the staff creates a new menu every single week.
Original owner Clint Nolan – of Pleased to Meet You, La Cholita and Harvest (RIP) fame – left his stamp with dusky, sexy lighting and a short-but-sweet food menu (the pork buns breed obsessives). Since Nolan left the helm, a duo of local guys has kept the bar a local favourite by maintaining its original charm and lavishing further attention on the cocktail menu.
Case in point: the salted caramel Manhattan, with bourbon, dry vermouth and a secret-recipe homemade caramel liquor.
With produce usually sourced from the very same street, Mumma’s has a neighbourhood feel, albeit a super-sophisticated one. No wonder many locals – author Tim Winton included – consider it a second home.
