Flour Market’s West Coast Bake: making eating cake for breakfast acceptable since 2017.

For those that missed Flour Market’s Western Australian debut earlier this year, the event brings together bakers and patisseries for a one-day bake sale co-hosted by Form and The Good Shed.

“We’ve got a returning roster of A-list bakers who couldn’t wait to do it again after the last Flour Market, but we hope that this one will be bigger and better,” says organiser Sarah Booth.

For those heading to the first day of the Royal Show at Claremont Showgrounds, Flour Market makes an ideal option for fuelling up before a day of rides and walking. Organisers say they have taken on board feedback from the first event and have added additional coffee vendors to the bill. The event layout has also been redesigned to improve the flow of guests.

Flour Market will also double as a preview of new-season flavours from Baked 180 and Top Dup. Returning stalls include Insta-worthy cakes from The Flour Press, crowd favourite Mary Street Bakery, vegan and allergy-friendly bakery Carina’s Kitchen and bread from Cottesloe’s Baker St.

A new addition to the market is florist Debra Hayes.

“It’s not something we did on the east coast, but the idea of picking up some treats and a nice bunch of flowers on a Saturday morning is really the best way to start the day,” advises Booth.


Flour Market West Coast Bake is on Saturday September 23 at The Goods Shed (corner of Shenton Road and Claremont Crescent, Claremont). The event runs from 9am till 12pm or until sold out. Entry is free.
