In the space of two years, Otherside Brewing Co. has grown from a one-off beer brewed for a music festival to a brand whose five core beers can be found at more than 100 bottle shops and bars around WA. Come late April, the label will have a home to call its own when its new brewery opens in Myaree.

Contained within a 1000-square-metre warehouse, the 20-hectolitre brewery and six fermentation tanks will produce around 300,000 litres of beer a year, with the capacity to grow its output.

In addition to centralising production and distribution – Otherside’s beers are currently made at other breweries – the new facility will also include a taproom and cellar door offering brewery-fresh beer for both drink-in and takeaway enjoyment. A rotating roster of food trucks will offer dining options.

Overseeing production will be Rhys Lopez, a passionate beer evangelist whose CV includes time at successful WA breweries such as Little Creatures, Gage Roads and Nail.

A limited number of $250 Beer Tycoon packages are still available and include merchandise and invites to Otherside events.

The Otherside Brewing Co. brewery opens late April at 84 McCoy Street, Myaree.
