This One Thing: Nonna’s Lasagne Is Back at Cosy Del’s

The best thing about the weather getting colder is that we’ve officially entered lasagne season. In the hierarchy of lasagnes, Cosy Del’s Nonna’s lasagne is one of the best.

It’s back at the Lathlain Italian diner by popular demand. Starting this week, the comfort feed will return as a Wednesday night special. Because more is more when it comes to lasagne, the team is also offering an all-you-can-eat special for $40 per person.

What: Nonna’s lasagne
When: Every Wednesday night from Wednesday March 19.
How: The much-loved lasagne is a three-layer mix of pork and beef mince mixed with crushed tomatoes and the classic Italian soffritto (carrots, onion and celery). Oozing between each layer is a simple bechamel, cheese and plenty of salt and pepper. The whole dish is topped with mozzarella and parmesan cheese, giving the dish a crispy cheesy top layer.
Cost: $29 per slice or $40 per person for all-you-can-eat lasagne.
