Nine To Try: Must-Book Events at Margaret River’s Cabin Fever Festival
Words by Chelsea Seale · Updated on 22 May 2026 · Published on 22 May 2026
Cabin fever, that feeling of restlessness and irritability from being cooped up inside, is practically synonymous with midwinter.
In Margaret River, there’s a fix for that feeling: the annual Cabin Fever festival.
This year is the festival’s 10th anniversary, and it’s celebrating the milestone with its most expansive program to date, featuring more than 40 events over 10 days, from July 17 to 26.
Expect the revival of the fan-favourite Blazing Brews party at Beerfarm, an epic “bingo rave” in Busselton, and retro fast food from local stalwart Normal Van. And across opening weekend, The Cabin on Busselton Foreshore is free to visit for family-friendly pop-ups, live entertainment and kids’ activities.
Tickets are moving quickly – a couple of major events are already sold out – but there’s still time to lock in these nine.
Winter plans sorted.
The Jungle Giants at Shelter Brewing Co
Australian indie-pop royalty the Jungle Giants are adding a little south-west side quest to the tour for their fifth studio album, Experiencing Feelings of Joy, before heading to Perth the following night. The Brisbane-based four-piece will open Cabin Fever with a gig at Shelter Brewing Co, supported by rising Aussie acts the Tullamarines and Tear Drive.

There’ll also be retro cocktails and pours from Normal Van co-owner Jess Waldron’s other venture, Jingalup Wines.
