Since 1998, Blue Cow Cheese has been supplying restaurants in Perth and Australia with top-shelf cheese and dairy goods from around the world. Now it has opened a Christmas pop-up at Brookfield Place so members of the public can get it in on the action.

“We’re aiming to provide a completely boutique experience to shoppers in the CBD, a service you won’t find at a regular deli,” says Blue Cow Cheese managing director Nick Bath. “We’ve kept the offering very classic with best-in-show examples of our favourite Christmas staples like Stilton and Farmhouse Cheddar.”

The shopping experience at the pop-up will be similar to the service offered to the hospitality industry, with Blue Cow experts leading customers through tastings. Although Bath is reluctant to name any favourites, the experienced cheesemonger sounds especially excited about a traditional, yeasty Camembert from Fromagerie Gillot, a Normandy cheesemaker with six generations of experience.

As well as the cheese itself, the store will also stock all the accompaniments and accessories necessary to put together a serious cheeseboard. Staff can help customers design a custom cheese hamper and pre-ordered hampers are available for delivery or pick-up.

Blue Cow Cheese Company’s CBD pop-up is open until Friday December 16.
