Fire, Fable & Feast
Core Cider in Pickering Brook is hosting its annual Fire, Fable & Feast event on Saturday August 7. The annual party celebrates the end of frosty winter and the beginning of new life in the orchard. Inspired by the traditions and folklore of Northern Italy, there’ll be chants, drums, song, dancing, bonfires and a feast. General tickets include a drink on arrival, a meal and a marshmallow stick for the bonfire. VIP tickets include beverages all night and a three-course shared feast of slow-cooked beef cheeks, pork and fennel sausages, whole roasted chicken, and barbequed pork ribs plus duck fat roast potatoes, steamed greens and winter root veggies.
