Sweet Surrender
After a sold-out first release, The Shorehouse has released a second round of dates for its dessert degustation series. Running from Friday August 24 to Sunday August 26, this six-course menu overseen by Kailis Hospitality Group pastry chef Ella Saleeba features macarons, cheesecake and sticky-date pudding and is available with a matching drink option. Tickets are $49 per person and available online.

Head to The Garden
Leederville’s The Garden is introducing monthly Wine n’ Dine Nights showcasing a different winery to complement a three-course meal. This month’s installment on Tuesday August 28 sees red wines from South Australian winery Kalleske Wines in the limelight. Choose from two entrées, mains and desserts on the night. Tickets are $60 per person and available online.

Truffles By The Sea
The celebration of truffle season continues with The Truffle Experience at Odyssea Beach Cafe. The evening features Australian black truffles from Manjimup’s Wine & Truffle Co, one of Western Australia’s first truffieries. Among the highlights on the four-course set menu is slow-braised beef cheek tortellini with pan juices, truffle, creme fraiche and silverbeet crisp (vegetarian options are also available). The dinner is being held on Thursday August 23 and Friday August 24. Tickets are $75 per person and available online.

Wildflower welcomes Chele Gonzalez
Manilla-based chef Chele Gonzalez, an alum of Spanish kitchens including El Bulli, Mugaritz and Arzak, is coming to Perth to co-host three events at Wildflower. Gonzalez will team up with the restaurant’s executive chef Jed Gerrard to offer guests a taste of Filipino food and ingredients, as served at his Manilla-based restaurant Gallery by Chele. A limited number of tickets to the four-course lunch on Saturday August 11 is still available. $190 per person including matched wines.
