View the latest collections from established designers. Get a glimpse into the future of the local fashion industry. Raise funds for the WA Aids Council: just three of the reasons why STYLEAID is a vital event.
Considering the theme for this year’s STYLEAID is tarot, it seems fitting the event’s line-up celebrates both the industry’s present and future. Womenswear designers Ae’lkemi, Zhivago and One Fell Swoop (who have all previously shown at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia) will showcase their spring-summer collections alongside emerging designers. As always, many of the designers will bring exclusive collections to the event.
“Alvin [Fernandez] from Ae’lkemi has chosen to show his latest couture collection exclusively at STYLEAID each year, and [YUUKI](http://www.yuuki.com.au] has designed a collection just for STYLEAID,” says Ben Conroy, STYLEAID committee member as well as owner and designer of everyday basics label, Base by Ben.
The monochromatic debut collection from men and women’s label HOODEDWEPT is an exciting addition to the local industry – designer Neil Sherrif is one of Conroy’s ones to watch. Event guests will also see new creations from Monster Alphabets’ designer Sarah Watanabe, who has enjoyed a successful year over east with her label.
Collections by Chalice, Jonté, Wild Horses and menswear label KINN will be shown. WA boutique Varga Girl; ZOMP Creative winner Elle Campbell; and STYLEAID Studio Emerging Designer winner Danielle Marklew (Stasera) will also show collections.
