Since opening its first Australian store in Sydney in 2015, Sephora has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, with a total of 23 stores in Australia and New Zealand. Now it’s Perth’s turn.
The French beauty giant will finally open at the newly redeveloped Karrinyup Centre on October 7, stocking cult and exclusive international beauty brands such as Fenty Beauty by Rhianna, Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez, Pat Mcrath Labs, Youth To The People, Fresh and Huda Beauty, plus Perth-born Bread Beauty Supply and the brand’s own label, Sephora Collection.
“This Sephora store opening has been years in the making, and by far our most requested location,” Sephora Australia & New Zealand general manager Beth Glancey said in a press release. “Over the past six years we have been building up our beauty community in Perth, delivering the best brands and new launches via our e-commerce platform and searching for the perfect brick-and-mortar location, and this Karrinyup store is it. Until now our wonderful Perth clients have had to buy before they try, but not for much longer.”

SUBSCRIBE NOWThe Perth store will feature a six-seater beauty studio where customers can try foundation matching, lipstick touch-ups, make-up tutorials and more, plus a skincare bar for personalised consultations – via the dermatologist-grade Skincredible By Sephora analysis app – which involve a 15-minute questionnaire followed by high-precision skin scanning to deliver a customised skincare regime (with product recommendations).
The store is part of the $800 million Karrinyup redevelopment, which will almost double the shopping centre’s size and offering when it opens fully in October.
Ahead of the opening, the “Sephora Sundae Van” will pop up at Scarborough Beach on October 2 and 3 offering beauty samples, glossy lip touch-ups and ice cream. The van will be stationed on The Esplanade, in front of Wild Fig Café, from 10am to 3pm.
Sephora will open at Karrinyup Centre on Thursday October 7.
