The West Deck Launch
In July, it first revealed its new look, followed by 40 new international and Australian fashion outlets in early October. Now it’s time for Karrinyup to unveil the final stage of their redevelopment: The West Deck, an alfresco dining and entertainment home to over 20 places to eat, drink and play.
The four-day opening weekend will be the ultimate showcase of what you can see, play and eat, all in one place.
You can shoot your shot at Holey Moley, complete with five new holes by the mini-putt specialists, and Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq’s first Perth outlet features modern and retro arcade games, virtual reality and dodgem cars. There’s also a Strike Bowling alley and the first Hoyts Cinema north of the river. Specifically for the kids is The Cubby, an outdoor kids playground.
The list of new food and drink spots is impressive – 18 to be exact. Good Company is set to be Karrinyup’s watering hole from those behind mega-pub The Camfield, while the Malaysian-style Laksarama comes from the team at Bar Lafayette, and O Mare Mio will be serving up traditional seaside Italian fare.
Expect some familiar venues too: like Thai eatery Spice Market, Authentic Bites Dumpling House, Arirang Korean BBQ, Japanese sushi train Super Testudo and Vietnamese street food Baguette Me Not.
Visitors spending at the West Deck during opening weekend, gain entry into The Lawn Bar, an exclusive outdoor area featuring a live DJ and complementary snacks - including cold pressed juices (10am – 1pm daily), ice cream sandwiches from Billy Van Creamy (2pm to 5pm daily), and mocktails and cocktails (6pm - 9pm daily) from the aforementioned new local, Good Company. The Lawn Bar will be open Thursday 11am - 9pm and Friday to Sunday between 10am - 9pm.
The celebrations extend throughout Karrinyup include delicious freebies and face painting in The Fresh Market.
