Knock, knock. Who’s there? Eighty-five sets from the best stand-up comics across the world. From April 20 until May 17, Perth will host a selection of the funniest performers in the game with gigs at the Regal Theatre, the Astor Theatre, Freo Social, The Rechabite, and the State Theatre Centre of WA.
You can expect sets from Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss, Irish comic and host of My Therapist Ghosted Me Joanne McNally, and festival favourite David O’Doherty.
Local legends – Jenny Tian, Matt Okine, Josh Thomas, Dave Hughes and Jimmy Rees – will also be performing. The Umbilical Brothers are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their show Speedmouse. The Wankernomics boys are also back to speak for nine-to-fivers everywhere with Show_V4.1_Final_Usethis. From New Zealand, comedian Sam Willis (or Tape Face, as he’s better known) is also celebrating. 20: Celebrating 20 Years of Tape Face is his first Australian performance in over 10 years.
If you prefer your comedy omakase-style, shows like WA Comedy All Stars, the Perth Comedy Festival Gala, Best of the Fest International, and Aboriginal Comedy All Stars each bring a string of comics to the stage to each do a short sharp set.
