Perth Comedy Festival 2025
Over four hilarious weeks, more than 70 comedy gigs are coming to four local venues: The Regal Theatre, The Astor Theatre, The Rechabite and Freo Social.
The UK is strongly represented with acts including Bafta-winning comedian Adam Kay with his live show This Is Going To Hurt: Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor, an “if-you-don’t-laugh-you’ll-cry” retelling of life on the hospital wards; Nish Kumar (The Mash Report, Taskmaster) performing the politically charged Nish, Don’t Kill My Vibe; the sharp-dressing, posh-sounding Tom Allen; and an absurdist set from Sara Pascoe.
Funny Kiwis on the line-up include Melanie Bracewell of Have You Been Paying Attention? and Thank God You’re Here fame; Rhys Darby, a frequent collaborator with Taika Waititi; and softly spoken (certified speller) Guy Montgomery.
Joining them are Australian funny people Geraldine Hickey, Joel Creasy, Nazeem Hussain, Becky Lucas and Michelle Brasier. Another icon, Peter Rowsthorn (best known for his work as Brett on Kath & Kim) is appearing at the festival for the first time since the ’80s on May 17.
Tickets are on sale now and the full program is available online.
