Fremantle International Street Arts Festival
The Fremantle International Street Arts Festival is back for its 25th year. For a quarter-century, the festival has brought world-class street performance to Fremantle. Over the Easter long weekend, Fremantle venues, streets and parks will be transformed into stages for dance, circus and acrobatic performances.
French dance company Compagnie Bilbobasso is headlining the festival with the Australian premiere of Amor – a fiery pyrotechnic tango performance – which will kick the program off with a bang. Also making their Australian premiere are Japanese double Dutch group Haribow (performing the famous spinning ropes trick) and Canadian puppeteering group Imagicario.
Local talent includes an Indigenous-led acrobatic performance entitled Living Sculptures: How the Birds Got Their Colours, which is returning to WA after a national tour.
