El Questro Homestead
El Questro is a one-million-acre station in Western Australia’s Kimberley region. It’s remote – a two-hour drive from the nearest airport (Kununarra) – but well worth the journey. The homestead is a nine-suite resort by a cliff overlooking the Chamberlain River. It feels like Western Australian luxury combined with Palm Springs California cool.
Each guest gets a personalised itinerary, which can cater just as much to those seeking relaxation as to those seeking thrills. Choose from fishing, helicopter rides, 4WD excursions into the bush, gorge-swimming, horse-riding, waterfall-chasing and scenic flights into the Bungle Bungles. When you get back to the homestead, settle into a three-course dinner with matched wines, underneath the stars.
Each suite has its own private balcony with a unique view looking out over El Questro.
The hotel is closed each year between late October and early April during the humid and hot-wet season of northern Australia.
