Features
This City Beach hang is just as comfortable serving Martinis and oysters to linen-clad locals as it is doling out brekkie buns and coffee to sandy-footed surfers. And it’s hard not to feel good in a place like Bert’s. The space is in a familiar location: the old Odyssea diner.
Bert’s is the third venue from the team that also owns The Rowing Pavilion and General Public Food Co. It’s known for creating community-focused venues, and that ethos extends to Bert’s. Old photos and memorabilia on the walls provide homey, retro touches.
The menu starts with breakfast classics then rolls into heftier items such as parmies and burgers. There are also pizza and taco selections, with plenty of beers on tap for lunches that turn into long afternoons.
