Caroline Taylor is a face not just of Taylor’s, but of the Swan Valley. As an ambassador for all that’s good in food in this part of the world, she’s been spreading the word, from TV ads to magazine features, and feeding everyone from Jimmy Choo to Canberra’s finest in the process.

The cafe, built by brother and barista Michael, occupies the original Taylor family home. Also encompassing mum Jude’s studio, it’s a showcase for the talented Taylors as a whole. Jude uses WA landscapes and wildflowers as inspiration for her fine textile prints.

Caroline is the driving force behind the local produce menu, which feels authentic and honest, from a solid bacon and eggs, to frittata or daily specials. Everything is organic, local and house-made where possible.

Within the grounds you can enjoy lunch, coffee and BYO from the local wineries. You’ll also find the studios of fourth-generation silversmith, Bethamy Linton, photographic duo Verge Studios and the Duck and Hunter vintage store, filled with French enamel and charming curios.
