Someday Coffee Co

The space that houses Someday Coffee Co has been a butcher, a fish and chip shop and a Thai restaurant. As a cafe, it's helping bring people into this somewhat forgotten pocket of Floreat, including families and long-time residents of the area.

The Someday menu offers a diverse spread, ranging from granola and Buddha bowls, to burgers, carrot hummus and avocado toast. Takeaway food items are also available, including wraps, gourmet pies and spanakopita.

Beans are supplied by Perth-based Micrology Coffee Roasters. Smoothies, traditional milkshakes, Kommunity Brew Kombucha and Pressed Earth juices are also available. In a gesture that is starting to become more common in Perth, complimentary still or sparkling water is offered to customers.

Lazarus Studios is behind the cafe’s retro look. Between its terrazzo tables, white-washed American oak and splashes of pink, the inviting space has something of a 70s Californian milk-bar feel.

On the wall, two striking photos by local photographer James Whineray fall seamlessly into place with the blushes of pink in one photo juxtaposing the dark stormy greys in the other.

Someday is owned by Jess Chisari-Sneeuwjagt, husband Joel Sneeuwjagt and long-time friend and hospitality consultant. Collectively, the trio shares a wealth of industry experience. The husband-and-wife team opened Stimulatte and James-Smith is a part-owner of Mexican restaurant chain, Guzman Y Gomez.
