Features

Manna Wholefoods & Cafe is a quirky place. You order at the kitchen counter, take your number and docket to the checkout at the entrance to pay, find a table, then return your receipt to your waitperson when your order arrives. It’s interesting, but it works and the food makes any perceived inconvenience evaporate.

Manna’s menu has a vegetarian focus – salads packed with lentils, legumes and grated root vegetables dazzle with their colours and delight with their textures. Vegetarian curries are potent, and the quiches put others to shame, with the caramelised onion and brie a highlight – fluffy, sweet and creamy all at once.

It’s the sort of vegetarian food even carnivores can love – not that they have to. Manna also uses organic beef across its menu, including in a beef pie complete with flaky puff pastry and a rich gravy.

The cafe is packed with the best organic produce available from renowned suppliers such as Barambah Organics, Dandaragan Organic Beef and numerous single-origin fair-trade coffee suppliers, with beans roasted locally.

The library of wholesome recipe books is also extensive, so you can put to use whatever groceries you pick up here.
