Palace Arcade’s second location in East Victoria Park offers a classic video games and good booze concept tailored to Gen X and Gen Y locals and their kids.

The venue is brighter than its Northbridge counterpart – with family-friendly seating and large windows opening onto Albany Highway, it feels more cafe-like than a dark drinking den.

Amongst the 50-odd machines that rotate regularly are mid-90s favourites like Donkey Kong, Rampage and Time Crisis.

The menu offers New York style pizzas made in-house, with sixteen-inch and 22-inch pies such as Downtown Meatball, Palace Pepperoni and Five Boroughs Five Cheese available whole or by the slice. Sides include mac ’n’ cheese bites, jalapeno poppers and chicken wings.

The drinks menu includes cocktails, craft beers and a wide array of spririts. Both bars use the same pre-loaded card system to pay for games, drinks and food, and your credit is good in either location.
