Features
After years of running her multi-label fashion store That Looks, online, founder Becca Haeger decided to open a bricks-and-mortar showroom.
Just off Karangahape Road, the store also doubles as Haeger’s apartment. Measuring a total of 70 square metres, it’s tiny – but somehow, it doesn’t feel either poky or like you’ve just walked into someone’s bedroom.
The showroom features an expanding range of exciting up-and-coming independent designers (many from New Zealand) as well as Haeger’s friends’ fashion labels including Frisson Knits and Mars. Offering exclusives from the labels it stocks, Haeger often collaborates with New Zealand and Australian designers to create special edition garments and accessories you won’t find anywhere else. The “half-showroom, half shop” space also offers custom fittings, with some pieces made to order.
