For most of us, the chance to test our forehand against a world-class tennis star at the Australian Open is just a January fantasy. This year, though, that dream could be a reality. As Melbourne gears up for the Australian Open 2026 – which runs from January 12 to February 1 – The Westin Melbourne is serving up a pair of exclusive tennis experiences, including a hit with an AO legend.

As part of The Westin Melbourne’s two Australian Open prize packages, lucky winners will get to experience the flagship tennis competition from a premium point of view. Both prizes include two tickets to the Open final (men’s or women’s, depending on the prize), an overnight stay at The Westin Melbourne, breakfast, and a VIP Kia transfer between the court and hotel. Each package also includes two seats for the Open’s premium dining experience, Club 1905, which this year welcomes Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan.

Among the experiences, the undoubted standout is a hit with former world number one and 2022 Australian Open champion Ash Barty. Winners of the first prize (which includes tickets to the women’s final) will get the privilege of court time with the retired Barty – an opportunity usually reserved only for the world’s best. That package also includes a racquet-fitting with Tennis Lab, ensuring you leave with your very own custom racquet. The men’s final prize winner will get the chance for a unique experience, too, with a behind-the-scenes tour of Rod Laver Arena.
