Husband-and-wife team Lara and Matt Fells started their Byron Bay fashion label St Agni in 2014. Since then, their casually luxurious garments, butter-soft, ethically sourced leather bags, and chic, timeless footwear have scored them legions of fans across the country.

Here the Fells share their guide to their hometown of Byron Bay – from where to eat, drink and shop to their favourite hidden gems.

It is situated in the small town of Eltham, which sits deep in the hinterland. The Eltham brings a magical vibe to the area and is always a good option if you’re happy to drive the 30 minutes inland – it’s worth it.

Killen Falls is a stunning waterfall just past Newrybar. It’s within proximity to Byron, perhaps the closest waterfall you can visit. It’s a jungle-esque walk down to the bottom of the falls, with a huge water hole for swimming in. It’s best to visit post-rain, as there is much more waterfall to enjoy.
