The national carrier has discounted over 500,000 fares on popular routes. But you need to get in quick.

Is it finally time to visit those relatives in Perth? Have a winter break in Hervey Bay, see the sights in our nation’s capital, or do a Sydney run for a little less cash? You have 72 hours to find a bargain on Qantas.

After last month’s bumper international sale (which was one of Broadsheet’s most-read stories this year), Qantas is slashing prices on its most in-demand domestic fares.

Until 11.59pm on Saturday you can find over 500,000 seats on more than 25 routes travelling between April and mid-September 2024. Some highlights? Byron to Sydney for $109, Melbourne to Perth for $279 and Adelaide to Brisbane for $199 (all one way).

Fares to New Zealand are also going cheaper this weekend, with sale fares to Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown and Wellington up for grabs until 11.59pm on Monday. Lock in a treat to look forward to, a getaway for the group chat, or a sick solo adventure.

“We saw a huge response to our international sale … we expect this domestic sale to be just as popular,” said Catriona Larritt from Qantas in a statement.
