The Ennismore hotel group is doubling down on Australia this year. The global brand is unveiling four flagship openings in Australia: the 25 Hours Olympia in Sydney, Mondrian Gold Coast, Hyde Perth, and Hyde Melbourne Place – a rebrand of Melbourne Place, which opened under this new name last week.
The Mondrian hotel brand has outposts in Bordeaux, Cannes, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Miami, Seoul and more. Australia’s first Mondrian hotel will open in June, just steps from Burleigh Beach.
The hotel offers 208 rooms including 132 studios, 76 suites as well as private beach houses and a penthouse. All rooms have views of the Pacific Ocean, the Burleigh headland or the nearby hinterland.
Studios are designed for couples. One- and two-bedroom suites offer a home-away-from-home feel with full kitchens, living and dining areas and laundry facilities. Two- and three-bedroom homes are set over two floors and include alfresco dining, direct beach access and plunge pools.
The hotel’s Sky House sits across the 24th floor of the hotel with three bedrooms, a private chef-ready kitchen, a mixologist-ready bar and bathrooms stocked with Le Labo’s iconic Santal 33 range.
Dining offerings include Lito, an all-day Italian diner and lobby bar; Haven, which will serve wood-grilled line-caught seafood alongside a beverage program that focuses on champagne and agave; and the Haven Pool Club, which will serve resort-style snacks and cocktails.
There will be a “bio-wellness” spa called Ciel, as well as a 25-metre resort pool and accompanying magnesium plunge pools.
Bookings are open now and start at $749 for a studio.
