When you think of traditional terrazzo it's often subtle, even austere. Not the work of Micka Lesinskis, founder of Melbourne terrazzo company Mortadello. His one-man shop makes colourful and bright (you might even say fun) terrazzo objects that look warm, perhaps even soft to touch.

We visited Lesinskis in his studio to find out how he handmakes his colourful creations, his approach to challenging the perception of concrete being a drab material, and the support he gets from his co-worker - Mia, the dog.
