Melbourne Fashion WeekPast, present and future converge at this celebration of Australia’s fashion industry.
Melbourne Fashion Week celebrates its 30th anniversary this year with a milestone program showcasing three decades of Melbourne art, design and culture. More than 300 designers, 300 retailers and 100 events will take over landmarks and laneways throughout the CBD – including a number of iconic locations from the festival’s history – organised around the all-encompassing theme “You’re Invited”.
Now the longest-running consumer fashion event in the country, M/FW has seen countless shifts in Australia’s fashion scene since it started out in 1995. Along the way, it’s evolved to reflect an ever-widening range of designers, technologies and cultural influences – and this year’s runways revolve around that legacy, riffing on the past, present and future of local fashion.
