Yesterday, I had no idea what to get anyone for Christmas. As of today, I’ve got at least one ace in the hole.
Social enterprise Two Good has saved my bacon with the new collection it launched with Alemais, the sustainable Aussie fashion label that turns heads with its colourful, artist-first designs.
Like everything Alemais does, the Cook in Colour range is designed to make a statement. The floral, green-hued apron is stonewashed for a worn-in look and can be adjusted to size. It also comes with two deep and wide pockets for ferrying those hosting essentials. Pair of tongs? Can of spritz? Whatever you need to get the job done, it’ll probably fit.
Napkins come in sets of two and are made from the same 100 per cent cotton denim twill as the apron. Plus, you get two designs – Cook in Colour floral and blue-and-white check – to really make your tablescape pop.

Items can be purchased individually or in a set. There’s also a Cook in Colour kit (one apron and two cookbooks by Two Good) and, if you’re really splashing out, a lunch set that includes the apron, six napkins, two cookbooks and six Two Good meal donations to women at risk of domestic violence and homelessness.
Whatever you choose, 50 per cent of profits from the collection will be reinvested in Two Good’s various social impact programs. It donates around 700 high quality meals a week and hundreds of gifts each year to women experiencing crisis. It also trains at-risk women with the skills they need to work in hospitality roles, including in its own catering arm.
If you need any more convincing, Julia Busuttil Nishimura is an ambassador the range. If Jules is in, you know it’s better than good. It’s Two Good.
The Two Good x Alemais Cook in Colour collection is available now.
