This Collab From Gentle Habits and Dirt Just Makes Scents

Designed to lighten the load of wash days, Gentle Habits and The Dirt Company have teamed up on a scent swap for their signature products. The two-part release includes incense sticks that evoke the scent of just-washed linen, and a washing detergent infused with earthy notes of cedarwood.
The idea behind the capsule collection draws on the concept of temptation bundling – pairing an activity that brings you pleasure with a less desirable task, like burning aromatic incense while folding laundry.
“The right scent can turn a chore into a ritual,” Gentle Habits founder Sophie Marshall tells Broadsheet. “It has this amazing ability to ground you or even spark a memory – and it can transform a mundane task like doing laundry into a mindful moment or a mini reset.”
Gentle Habits lends its Byron Bay fragrance – a blend of cedarwood, cardamom, patchouli and white cypress – to The Dirt Company’s detergent. Meanwhile, the laundry label reimagines its fig leaf, lemon and amber formula as incense.
The limited-edition drop is available on both brands’ websites – you can purchase each product individually or get them together as a bundle.
