Ah, homeware. Not a day goes by where I don’t think of you. And thus, my bank account sinketh for thee.

“Just gotta be strong” I tell myself as I try to ignore the little reminders: the unshelved stack of books, the floor-borne unframed artworks and the spookily tuned-in social ads.

Sometimes I spot something I just can’t look away from (shout out to my $400 mushroom lamp) and my willpower crumbles.

But there’s one time each year I feel no guilt for such losses. Quite the opposite – I wear them proudly like feathers in my cap. And that time, my friends, is Black Friday.
