Watch: Orazio D’Elia Make Woodfired Pizza in a Backyard Barbeque

The Matteo chef shows us how to turn dough into a delicious delight.

Unless you have a large backyard and the knowhow to build a dedicated oven – and a true obsession with pizza – the idea of making woodfired pizza at home feels out of reach. But all it takes is a good barbeque. And the right recipe.

We met with chef Orazio D’Elia from Matteo in Sydney, to show us how to perfect making the woodfired pizza at home. He says what you need is the right ingredients, some good wood for flavour, and the ability to cook very, very hot. Here he uses the 4k Barbeque from Everdure by Heston Blumenthal, which can cook up to 420°C.
