Is there a drink more quintessentially summer than an Aperol Spritz? The refreshing, citrusy drink is perfect for balmy evenings, but really it can be enjoyed at any time of the day (and year).

It’s easy to make one yourself, but Aperol, the makers of the iconic orange aperitif, are taking it one step further by introducing a ready-to-drink range.

The new pre-mixed cocktails are created with the original Aperol – made with herb-infused citrus oil – as well as soda and sparkling wine, all bottled up for ease and convenience. The result is a bittersweet, fizzy drink you can now have anytime, anywhere: barbeques, brunches, the beach and more.

No one’s going to stop you from drinking straight from a chilled bottle, but the folks at Aperol reckon the best way to enjoy it is poured into a large wine glass filled with ice, then garnished with a fresh orange wedge.

Each 175-millilitre bottle has nine per cent ABV. Sets of three bottles cost $18.

Aperol Spritz bottles are available at major alcohol retailers nationwide.
