Aussie Label Wins Gold at the World Alcohol-Free Awards

Non might be a name you’re already familiar with. Maybe you’ve seen it poured at Hot-Listed venues like Supernormal and Navi – or on the wine lists of Michelin-starred restaurants around the world.
Now, the Melbourne-based label is being recognised in a different way, taking the top spot at the World Alcohol-Free Awards in London for its cult-favourite bottle Salted Raspberry and Chamomile. It scored gold among nearly 600 entries from 30 countries, with judges describing it as “a unique and interesting aperitif, but also a versatile alternative to wine as a food-match”.
Not unlike how you consider wine for the table, each Non bottle comes with suggested food pairings – in the case of the winning blend, it’s citrus-forward salads, creamy desserts and cured meats. But founder Aaron Trotman draws a clear distinction between the two. “We never set out to mimic wine – we built something new,” he said in a statement. “This award shows the world is catching up. Non belongs on the table not because it’s a substitute, but because it earns its place.”
With the rise of mindful drinking, the win reflects a wider shift in the kind of tipple we’re reaching for. The non-alcoholic beverage market is projected to grow by five per cent annually through to 2028 – and the appetite is only growing for elevated, booze-free options that suit a fine-dining setting.
Fancy a sip? There are six flavour profiles to shop via Non’s website – including the winning pour. And first-time customers can score 15 per cent off by signing up to the newsletter.
