On the one hand, who isn’t excited for tonight’s episode of Game of Thrones? The sixth episode in the season. The penultimate episode of the season. The episode with a trailer that makes Jon Snow and his merry band of brothers look like an Arctic tundra boy band. On the other hand, how on God’s green earth have we already reached episode six? How is this season already so close to being over?

The only way to limit the pain is to ice it with some frozen cream. Gelato Messina has been running a special Game of Cones series throughout the season, releasing a special flavour every Monday in tribute to a different GoT character.

We’ve had Sansa, Jon Snow, Daenerys “Khaleesi” Stormborn (First of her Name, Queen of the Andals, Breaker of Chains, etc, etc); we’ve had Arya and Missandei.

The sixth flavour pays tribute to someone we’re all better off without – to someone who, quite frankly, does not deserve a tribute at all (and certainly not one so delish). The Ramsay Bolton is a mix of white chocolate and hazelnut gelato with chocolate mud cake, chocolate and hazelnut mousse and candied hazelnuts.

Surely it should have a mix of blood-red cherry sorbet, to represent the lives and body parts he hath stolen, and salted caramel, to represent the tears we hath shed as he sent Rickon Stark running towards Jon Snow on the other side of that frosty field, for no good reason.

The limited-edition flavours are available at all Messina stores nationally, and are also available for delivery if you're within a store's delivery zone.
