Gallery: Catalina Rose Bay Transformed Into the Very Pink Rosado Bay for One Eventful Afternoon

Last Friday, tastemakers and influencers took over Rose Bay’s Catalina for the Australian launch of a new limited-edition drop from Don Julio. Abbie Chatfield, Pip Edwards, Elliot Garnaut, Rozalia Russian, Sophie Wilde and more were among the guests who turned out for an opulent afternoon, set against a backdrop of iconic harbour views.

The invite-only bash was to celebrate Tequila Don Julio Rosado, a reposado tequila finished in Ruby port wine casks, sourced from northern Portugal’s Douro wine region. The result is a delicately pink hued tequila with sweet notes of dried red fruit and caramel.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Don Julio fiesta without an array of tequila cocktails, alongside bites from the Catalina team. Guests sipped on a Rosado neat serve and enjoyed custom cocktails such as The Frosado (served with pink grapefruit liqueur and lime juice over shaved ice) and the Glitterati (featuring pink grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave syrup and champagne).

Guests were welcomed onto the dance floor to sway and sashay the afternoon away, with DJ Flex Mami providing the tunes.
