Following the recent frosé boom, it seems we’re getting closer to just consuming all our alcohol in frozen form this summer.

The latest is POPS, a new range of upmarket icy poles (kind of like fancy Calippos). Two out of the four flavours are boozy: the Classic has half a glass of champagne in it, while the Bellini is loaded with prosecco and peach schnapps.

The other two flavours, Strawberry and Mint and Apple and Elderflower, are sans alcohol. All the icy poles are gluten free.

POPS launched in 2014 in the UK and have just become available in areas around Australia. They are being stocked exclusively at Arbory Bar & Eatery in Melbourne and on alcohol delivery app tipple, which services Melbourne and Sydney at the moment.

Look out for them at various events across the country during summer, too.
