J.W Anderson has unveiled its first collaboration with Japanese apparel giant Uniqlo. And it’s very wearable.

It’s an unlikely union – a quintessentially British label and Japan’s mainstream retailer. But they share an appreciation for simplicity, and create garments that balance a sustainable price point with quality materials.

“For me, the point of doing this collaboration was that I believe in democracy in fashion, and what I hope will be achieved is that any age demographic can pick up and find something within the collection to relate to,” says Anderson, the creative director of LVMH-owned Spanish label Loewe, as well as the founder of his own line, J.W Anderson. Uniqlo is a label Anderson wears daily himself.

The fall/winter 2017 collection features 33 pieces for men and women. In September this year, you can come away with armfuls of military-inspired looks; duffle coats; oversized, striped turtlenecks; and bright crewneck sweaters. We’re particularly drawn to the puffer jacket in a tartan print (and matching tote).

Uniqlo has also collaborated with Jil Sander, Pharrell Williams and Opening Ceremony in the past to great success.

The collection will be available online and in store in September.
