The new range captures a spirit of modern versatility with a dose of the heritage brand’s signature quality and craftsmanship. These pieces are easy-to-wear and easy-to-care additions to your daily wardrobe.

Everyday ease is something we seem to be striving for more and more in our wardrobes. But what does it actually mean? To me, it's all about finding clothes that fit well and feel comfortable, but also add to my personal style. For example, jeans and a white T-shirt is one of my favourite outfit formulas – quality fabrics and good cuts make all the difference here.

Oroton – a bag and accessories stalwart – added ready-to-wear to its lineup in 2019. Season after season, I fawn over printed silk pieces and timeless tailoring. There’s an assured elegance to the collections. But something that has made me pause in the past is the wearability of these items in my actual wardrobe.

Enter Oroton’s Everyday collection. “We were inspired by how women move through their lives,” Oroton’s creative director Sophie Holt shared in a statement. “The focus is on modernity, minimalism, finding clever versatility in getting dressed each day.”

The new line has debuted with a collection of clothes that are basic but not boring. Their defining factor is that they’re easy to wear and easy to care for. They're the epitome of foundation pieces that can be mixed and matched, woven into memorable outfits.

Take the carpenter short – you could wear these with a tank and a pair of thong sandals to get a coffee. Cute. But layer on the cotton cagoule and grab a woven bag for your daily essentials, and now we’ve got an outfit.

It can be the smallest things that make a difference. The ruffle blouse, which comes in three colours, is fundamentally just a button-down. But the detail along the neck and placket elevate it – and anything you pair with it – instantly. Another stand-out piece is the gingham popover dress – wear it belted or left to hang, layered or on its own. I can imagine this styled with socks and loafers, a pointed-toe kitten heel or a simple summer slide.

Think of these pieces like bread and milk – basic ingredients at face value, but versatile enough to make all kinds of delicious meals when paired with the right partners.

The palette of pale blue, khaki, chocolate brown and soft pink, as well as classic black and white, creates multiple styling options. The focus on cotton signals the wash-and-wear nature of the pieces (no dry cleaning here). And the bags and accessories that complement the pared-back styles echo the heritage brand’s classic designs.
