Beer and fashion – you wouldn't think the two would be uttered in the same sentence, and yet we've already seen plenty of labels collaborate with beer companies over the past few years. The wildest part? The collabs are usually really damn stylish.
The latest threads in partnership with beer come via Melbourne label Mr. Simple, who have teamed up with Melbourne Bitter for the second time to create a limited collection of hats and tees using vintage advertisements.
The label worked with local design team Jack & Josh on the illustrations, which take original ad campaigns and add a fresh spin to them. The collection features a long-sleeve tee, four short-sleeve designs, a bucket hat and a cap.
"A personal favourite is the Pub tee," explains Mr. Simple founder Dave Fraser. "After a tough few months for the city of Melbourne, the tagline ’Now Can I Crack A Melbourne’ resonates more than ever – this was originally off one of the old advertising campaigns and was never intended for the current state of events when we started designing the range over a year ago."
The Melbourne Bitter x Mr. Simple Pt. II collection is available now.
