The Hottest Fashion Trends in London Right Now – and Where To Find Them in Sydney
Words by Bianca O’neill · Updated on 13 Apr 2026 · Published on 09 Apr 2026
London Fashion Week delivered some serious sartorial inspiration for Australia’s upcoming autumn season. So what’s everyone in London wearing right now? And how can we get that look here?
We’ve kept a close eye on the best of British fashion right now, including these three key trends we’ve seen emerge on the runways and streets of London. And you can see them in person – there’s a competition for the chance to win a trip to London, New York or Paris if you spend $200 or more in centre at participating stores and sign up to the centre’s e-Newsletter. Read on for all the details.
From classic British whimsy to the latest in denim and beyond, we’ve got you covered. Here are the hottest fashion trends coming out of London right now – and our picks for shopping them here at home in Sydney.
British heritage
London Fashion week embraced the English countryside with looks that deliver on the whimsy of British heritage pieces. From the return of the millennial-inspired ’00s military jacket (itself stolen, of course, from punk counterculture fashion) to the ubiquitous pops of tweed and argyle, as well as country florals, there is no question the mishmash of fashion history touchpoints was all about British nostalgia.
It doesn’t get more London than a classic trench – and Scanlan Theodore’s latest iteration is the perfect update for 2026 (you can find a store at Strand Arcade). If you’re looking for a classic British brand, head to Mulberry at QVB. The small scotchgrain bucket bag delivers the equestrian heritage of the countryside via two-tone leather and buckle details and is sure to keep the horse girls happy. Or subvert the trend with this Kenzo military tailcoat (with a trompe l’oeil printed motif) from its QVB store.
Next-level denim
One of the most interesting yet accessible trends emerging from runways at the moment is what we’re calling next-level denim. From the return of the slashed jean to these LFW denim streetstyle looks, it’s clear that the time for a plain blue denim leg has passed.
Take a denim holiday with Aje at the Strand Arcade’s dreamy Mae postcard printed denim set, or update your standard barrel jean at The Galeries with Ganni’s trademark all-over colour and print. If a subtler pattern is more your vibe, the same Ganni store also has denim graced with tiny flowers printed from top to ankle.
Affix-ation
Brooches and badges are so back. We’ve seen a return of decorative elements to clothing, and these took the spotlight at London Fashion Week. Labrum London attached golden, chained brooches to its clothing, while Simone Rocha favoured bow details. This trend has also extended to red carpet looks, with several feature brooches at the Oscars: there were plenty of diamonds on dapper men, but our favourite was Pedro Pascal’s oversized Chanel flower.
The best place to start is with wearable art. Visit somewhere that stocks unique jewellery pieces, like Courtesy of the Artist, which has a store in the Strand Arcade – this stunning floral brooch will elevate any outfit. For a more affordable entry point, QVB’s Oroton has a wheat brooch that will capture attention without the big investment. Or you can channel Simone Rocha’s ribbon-adorned suit at London Fashion Week and lean into the ornate with Ganni’s denim dress covered with bows by visiting The Galeries.
